Tours of the complex of caves are given daily. By far the most famous section of the Cave of the Winds is the Silent Splendor room. Unfortunately, the room is sealed off from the public in order to maintain its delicate environment.

Cliff Palace
Mesa Verde National Park is in Montezuma County, Colorado, United States. It was created in 1906 to protect some of the best preserved cliff dwellings in the world. The park is 81.4 square miles (211 km squared) (211 squared kilometers) near the Four Corners and features numerous ruins of homes and villages built by the Ancesteral Puebloan people, sometimes called the Anasazi.

Cliff Palace

The Cliff Palace contains 23 kivas (round sunken rooms of ceremonial importance), and 150 rooms and had a population of about 100 people. One kiva, in the center of the ruin, is at a point where the entire structure is partitioned (divided) by a series of walls with no doorways or other access portals. The walls of this kiva were plastered with one color on one side and a different color on the opposite side. It is estimated that around 100 people inhabited Cliff Palace during its time of use.

Garden of the Gods

If you enjoy hiking, walking, mountain biking, or horseback riding this is a great place for you! Garden of the Gods is located in El Paso County, Colorado. The garden contains numerous trail for all your favorite out door activities. One of the most popular trail is named Perkins.

The outstanding geologic features of the park are the ancient
sedimentary beds of red, blue, purple, and white sandstones, conglomerates and limestone that were deposited horizontally, but have now been tilted vertically and faulted by the immense mountain building forces caused by the uplift of the Pikes Peakmassif. If you'r exploring the Garden of the Gods you will receive frequent reminders to watch out for rattlesnakes in the hot days of summer.
